The new 2011 Panasonic “ST” series televisions have arrived with a list of impressive new features, but what do they all mean? When clients come in to see me at Gibson’s to look for a TV, I always explain the key features in a practical manner so that everyone can understand. Once you understand the features, you can then search for what TV that is best for you and your own individual needs.
Below are some of the key features of the new 2011 Panasonic “ST” series TV, and what they all mean.
Infinite Black 2 panel
The Panasonic “ST” series TVs have a feature called “Infinite Black 2”. This technology delivers deeper blacks and minimizes reflection for bright, vivid images. Having deeper blacks results in more accurate colours in your picture overall. With this new technology, it is now possible to view plasma TVs in brightly lit rooms, giving you the ability to view the superiority of the plasma picture in any lighting condition.
Single Layer of Glass Technology
The Panasonic’s single layer of glass technology is used to further reduce reflection and increase black levels. It also helps to deliver a cleaner and smoother picture overall.
What about 3D on the “ST” Series?
The ST Series is 3D compatible, meaning you will be able to play 3D content on the TV if you choose to. It also has the capability of converting 2D (standard definition) images to 3D.
600Hz Sub-Field Drive
With the 600Hz sub-field drive system, moving image resolution will maintain a clear 1080 line picture resolution without blurring. This is beneficial for fast-moving images such as sporting events and action scenes.
The “ST” series also has key features such as the VIERA Connect with Wi-Fi which allows for internet connectivity to your TV. Having internet connectivity allows you to use a variety of applications such as Skype, YouTube and Twitter right from your TV. The Panasonic ST series comes in 42″, 46″, 50″, 55″, 60″ and 65″ sizes.
